African Waist Beads

Waist beads signify beauty in the Ghanaian culture. It is a symbol of attraction to the men and a great accessory to have. They come in different colors and sizes. Most people like to wear the waist beads in sets of 5's, 6's, 7's, 8's, & 10's. The waist beads have been an effective way to monitor your weight and keep the weight in check. The strand gets tighter when you gain weight and loose when you loose weight. It can be worn on the neck, wrist, and ankles.

Please note that each color comes mixed with other neutral colors. The color you pick is just the base color. The custom colors can be any single color of your choice. This color can be sent to me by leaving a note with your order. The listed prices are for one strand each. For multiple strands you'll have to indicate from the quantity section in you cart. Any further questions please send me a message. The waist beads are made with seed beads (sizes 6/0, 8/0, & 11/0 ), non- stretchy thread, and screw clasps.

The sizes listed are made with an additional allowance of 0.25in-0.5in. For intance, an order for a 24in waist beads will be 24.25in- 24.50in... Etc. P.S For the waist beads, the use of a measuring tape is recommended to get accurate measurements.

Once orders are received, processing takes 1 or more business days depending on the the number of items per order. Shipping usually takes 1-3 business days depending on the area. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will take longer to be posted or delivered due to post office closings. Expedited shipping options are available if need be. Please email me.
